Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Introduction
A White card (or general construction induction card) is required in NSW for workers who want to carry out construction work or who need to enter a construction site. We train White Card at NSW schools and will be happy to discuss your White card training needs. Group bookings can be organised providing there are 15 – 20 participants.
Course eligibility
- 100 points of ID.
- Minimum of 14 years of age on training date.
Assessment
The class is 6 hours in duration excluding breaks and administration time.
There are 3 components to this program:
- Theoretical training in the classroom.
- Practical training in the classroom.
- Assessment for both knowledge and skills.
We use plain English, images and videos combined with questions and class discussion to provide the best outcome for comprehending the required knowledge of this course.
Certification
Once deemed competent, a learner will be issued with a SOT (Statement of Training) which will be valid for 60 days after issue. With this SOT, students can go onto any construction site immediately.
SafeWork will post the final White Card to your enrolled address, this can take up to 60 days.
If your White Card is lost or stolen, you will need to contact SafeWork NSW – 131 050.
Digital Cards are available
Following the success of the Digital NSW Drivers licence, the NSW Government is working to digitise trade licences, with the aim of improving customer service, providing convenience, and making compliance with legislation easier.
